For the First Electrician, Lead Electrician and First Technician Maintenance E&I positions, you will work for Croonwolter&dros, one of the leading technical services companies in The Netherlands.
The projects are primarily within the North-West Industry & Energy division, covering projects in North Holland, Utrecht and Flevoland.
Position 1 – First Electrician Industry & Energy
As a First Electrician Industry & Energy, you will work hands-on on industrial and energy infrastructure projects involving both LV and MV electrical installations.
Your responsibilities:
✅ Installation, replacement and maintenance of LV and MV installations
✅ Cable installation, connections, terminations and cable jointing
✅ Installation and connection of switchgear and distribution systems
✅ Connecting electrical equipment, machines, motors and sensors
✅ Inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical installations
✅ Troubleshooting electrical faults and carrying out maintenance
✅ Working independently from electrical drawings and schematics
✅ Supporting less experienced electricians when required
✅ Working according to applicable safety procedures and regulations
✅ Reporting technical issues and progress to the Lead Electrician / Supervisor
What are we looking for?
✅ Preferably at least 2 years of relevant practical experience
✅ Experience with industrial electrical installation and/or energy infrastructure
✅ Ability to independently read electrical drawings and schematics
✅ Experience with low-voltage installations
✅ Interest in developing knowledge of MV installations
✅ Electrical qualification comparable to Dutch MBO Level 3 is preferred
✅ English and/or Dutch at a level allowing safe professional communication
✅ Willingness to learn Dutch after starting employment
✅ Valid Category B driving licence
✅ Safety-focused and responsible working attitude
Experience with MV/HV installations, substations, switchgear, NEN 3140, BEI, VIAG or VCA is an advantage but is not necessarily required before application.
Salary:
€3,106 – €4,057 gross/month based on a 40-hour working week.

Position 2 – Lead Electrician Industry & Energy
Are you an experienced electrician who is ready to take responsibility for both technical execution and the coordination of a team?
As a Lead Electrician Industry & Energy, you will coordinate technicians and subcontractors on industrial and energy projects and act as an important connection between the workforce, client and project management.
Your responsibilities:
✅ Coordinate and supervise daily electrical activities
✅ Lead, instruct and support electricians and technicians
✅ Allocate work and monitor project progress
✅ Coordinate subcontractors where necessary
✅ Ensure work meets technical, safety and quality standards
✅ Make sure materials, equipment, tools and drawings are available
✅ Monitor working hours, work orders and project administration
✅ Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
✅ Prepare installations for testing, commissioning and handover

Position 3 – First Technician Maintenance E&I
This position is ideal for experienced electrical professionals who enjoy maintenance, troubleshooting, service work and instrumentation.
You will work at industrial client locations within sectors such as chemical, pharmaceutical and food processing, working with a wide variety of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Your responsibilities:
✅ Preventive and corrective electrical maintenance
✅ Maintenance and service of E&I systems
✅ Troubleshooting and fault finding
✅ Repairing and replacing electrical components
✅ Functional inspections and measurements
✅ Installation and inspection of switchgear and distribution systems
✅ Calibration and inspection of measurement and control equipment
✅ Modifications to existing industrial installations
✅ Supporting testing and commissioning activities
✅ Working from technical drawings and electrical schematics
✅ Communicating with clients regarding technical issues and progress
✅ Advising on faults, maintenance and technical modifications
✅ Supporting less experienced technicians
What are we looking for?

Position 4 – E&I Commissioning Technician
Are you a highly experienced E&I / Commissioning professional with strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation and industrial control systems?
This is a more specialised technical position involving the testing, adjustment and safe commissioning of electrical and instrumentation installations on industrial projects in the southwest of The Netherlands.
Projects include work within industries such as chemical processing and oil & gas, including new E&I installations, maintenance shutdowns and renovation projects.
Your responsibilities:
✅ Prepare and perform cold wiring checks
✅ Carry out electrical and instrumentation testing
✅ Perform hot commissioning after installations have been safely released
✅ Test motors, lighting systems and instrumentation
✅ Test and adjust control systems, including DCS
✅ Read electrical drawings, loop diagrams and technical documentation
✅ Analyse complex technical faults and deviations
✅ Determine whether faults originate from electrical, instrumentation, control or process systems
✅ Perform functional testing of complex installations
✅ Record measurements, test results, deviations and punch-list items
✅ Coordinate with engineers, technicians, automation specialists and project management
✅ Plan commissioning sequences and technical dependencies
✅ Follow work permits, LMRA, LOTO and industrial safety procedures
✅ Ensure installations are demonstrably safe before commissioning or release
What are we looking for?
✅ Extensive practical experience with E&I installations and commissioning
✅ Electrical engineering qualification comparable to Dutch MBO Level 4

First Technician Maintenance E&I: €3,324 – €4,334 gross/month
Lead Electrician Industry & Energy: €3,541 – €5,200 gross/month
E&I Commissioning Technician: salary based on experience, position and applicable immigration/employment requirements
The final salary proposal is determined individually based on:

Long-Term Employment
For the Croonwolter&dros positions, employment starts through SkilledPeople.
The employment contract is intended for a minimum period of one year, with the intention of transitioning suitable employees to a permanent position directly with Croonwolter&dros within approximately two years.
The goal is therefore not simply to offer you your next project, but to provide you with the opportunity to develop a stable technical career in The Netherlands.

Language
For most positions you should be able to communicate safely and professionally in English and/or Dutch.
You do not need to already speak fluent Dutch. Candidates who do not speak Dutch are expected to be willing to learn Dutch after starting employment.
