Lead Energy Networks Technician

For a Dutch client we are searching for a Lead Technician Energy Networks.
The company designs, builds and maintains (complex) installations that are essential for a sustainable and reliable future.

You work across the complete chain of the regional energy grid. You are involved in installation, replacement, cable works, maintenance, inspections, and switching operations.
Your work directly contributes to the renewal and reliability of the Dutch energy infrastructure.

You operate in teams at various locations and ensure safe, structured, and high-quality execution of activities.
You apply VIAG/BEI safety procedures and communicate professionally with colleagues, subcontractors, and clients.

This is a hands-on technical role in a highly safety-critical environment, with opportunities to grow toward high-voltage specializations or office-based roles.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Perform installation, replacement, and maintenance work on LS and MS installations
✅ Execute cable works (including joints, connections, and splicing) for LS and MS
✅ Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of switchgear installations
✅ Handle fault repairs and planned/unplanned maintenance activities
✅ Work in accordance with VIAG, BEI, and permit-to-work procedures
✅ Collaborate with project leaders, planners, and colleagues on safe execution
✅ Document activities and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
✅ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems

Requirements

✅ Educated and qualified as an electrician (Dutch requirement MBO 4, or MBO 3 with work experience matching level 4)
✅ Experience or strong interest in LS/MS installations, cable technology, or grid operations
✅ Preferably VIAG/BEI, VCA, or willingness to obtain certificates
✅ Strong focus on safety, quality, and structured working
✅ Ability to work both independently and in teams
✅ Good communication skills in Dutch (B2) or English (C1). If only English, willing to learn Dutch short term (requirement because of safety issues)
✅ Valid driver’s license (B) and living in or willing to relocate to the Amsterdam region
✅ Prepared to work on call shifts

✅ Gross monthly salary €3,015 – €4,400 depending on your experience.. For specialists with extensive experience, we are open to discussing a higher salary that reflects your seniority
