Certificates for technicians (NL)

Lately we noticed that more and more people are interested to start working abroad, and especially in The Netherlands.

The Netherlands is country which brings you various job opportunities and with DK Recruitment Services you can start working within a week.

In connection with industrial or construction or other technical jobs, there are some certificates which are mandatory, and other which can bring good knowledge to your experiences and higher chance to be placed on your dream project.

Below you can find information about most common certificates which are most wanted within Dutch employers.

• VCA certificate
  VCA is certificate which stand for safety, health and environment. The main focus of VCA is to provide all workers who work in hazardous or high-risk environment all needed instruction to make their daily job safe. Before you pass the exam, you will receive all study materials so you can prepare yourself for VCA exam in advance. The main bonus is that VCA study materials are made in several language such as Romanian, Bulgarian, English, German, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Polish or Slovak language so you can choose which suits you the most.

• Certificate work at height
  This certificate is needed when your project obtains work in heights. During the training you will learn how to use safety harnesses, how-to walk-in heights (mainly on scaffolds) and in general how to keep safe working environment during this type of work.

• IPAF certificate
  In connection of certificate work at height you might get in situation when you will need to use mobile elevated platform. For these purposes IPAF certificate will be your inseparable part.

• ATEX certificate
  Project where employees work under explosive environment must obtain ATEX certificate. Some of petrochemical or chemical plant require knowledge of how to work safely in explosive environment without causing any accident and work according to manufacturer’s manuals, and that is the reason why some of your employers can ask you to do the ATEX course.

• NeN 3140
  In case you are interested to start your career in The Netherlands as an electrician, NeN 3140 certificate will learn you how to work safely with electrician installations and electrical equipment up to 1000V.

As a last document needed in The Netherlands before you will start working will be BSN document.

• BSN
  BSN is citizen service number which is your unique personal number, and it gives you opportunity to legally start working for Dutch companies. BSN number is organizing at city hall. To get your BSN, you need to bring with you your ID card or Passport and filled application form which will be provided to you in advance. After you will receive your BSN number, keep it with yourself as it will be used within all your future employment in The Netherlands.
