Lead Technician Maintenance E&I
For a Dutch client we are searching for Lead Technician Maintenance E&I Industry.
The company designs, builds and maintains (complex) installations that are essential for a sustainable and reliable future.
As an Lead Technician Maintenance you play a key role in ensuring that industrial electrotechnical and instrumentation systems run reliably and safely.
You work daily at client locations on maintenance, service, and short-term projects—often modifications to existing installations.
Assignments vary in scope and duration: some tasks are completed within a single afternoon, while others take weeks or even months.
This means your workdays are diverse, technically challenging, and never the same.
You carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, repair malfunctions, and perform functional inspections.
You act as a technical advisor to customers and help maintain safe and efficient production processes.
Most assignments currently focus on electrotechnical systems, but mechanical work is becoming an increasingly important part of the portfolio.
Customers operate in sectors such as Chemicals, Pharma, Food, and Energy, which ensures exposure to a wide range of technical complexity.
This is a hands-on position in a multidisciplinary environment where you can contribute your technical expertise, while also benefiting from the experience and knowledge of your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems
✅ Carry out service work based on maintenance schedules and technical documentation
✅ Identify defects and emerging technical issues
✅ Execute repairs and replacement of installation components
✅ Perform commissioning activities and adjust installations within planning
✅ Install and verify control equipment and switchgear assemblies
✅ Inspect and evaluate work carried out by subcontractors
✅ Register activities and signal additional or reduced work
✅ Follow procedures regarding quality, safety, environment, and company-specific guidelines
✅ Participate in 24/7 standby and breakdown service rotations
✅ Diagnose and repair faults in E&I installations
✅ Calibrate and inspect measurement & control equipment
✅ Document work performed, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
✅ Communicate with customers on planning, progress, and advice
✅ Signal improvement opportunities and support small technical modifications/projects
✅ Collaborate with and coach colleagues as needed
Requirements
✅ Educated and qualified as an electrician (Dutch requirement MBO 4, or MBO 3 with work experience matching level 4)
✅ At least 3 years of experience in E&I maintenance
✅ Knowledge of measurement and control technology and related software systems
✅ Experience with or interest in PLC, SCADA, and DCS programming
✅ Willingness to stay up to date with new technical developments
✅ Availability for 24/7 breakdown service rotations
✅ Professional, representative, and responsible attitude
✅ Ability to work independently and stay calm when handling faults or unexpected issues
✅ Strong focus on safety, quality, and structured working
✅ Ability to work both independently and in teams
✅ Good communication skills in Dutch (B2) or English (C1). If only English, willing to learn Dutch
✅ Valid driver’s license (B) and living in or willing to relocate to the Amsterdam region
✅ Prepared to work on call shifts

✅ Gross monthly salary €3,227 – €4,400 depending on your experience. For specialists with extensive experience, we are open to discussing a higher salary that reflects your seniority
